Have you ever done yoga in a rainforest? Probably not. What about on the highest mountain peak in the UAE? Sound interesting? Read on.
If you’re looking for somewhere new and truly special to practise your yoga moves, we’ve rounded up four quirky yoga classes to try in the UAE this weekend.
Yoga in a unique destination? We’re in.
Dubai Opera and Core Direction have teamed up for a series of yoga classes at the Dubai Opera Garden. Running until October 24, yogis can enjoy a 60-minute Vinyasa flow class every Saturday and Monday between 6pm and 7pm. Located between the Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Opera Garden boasts stunning views of Downtown Dubai. Each class is Dhs100 and can be booked via the Core Direction app and all you need to do is bring your own yoga mat and towel. Sunset yoga with Burj Khalifa views? We can think of worse places to practise our salutations.

Offering you the closest thing to packing your bags and heading into the jungle with a yoga mat, classes at Green Planet have launched in Dubai. The 60-minute session cost Dhs149 per person and allows you to practice yoga in the midst of 3,000 different species of plants, animals and birds. All those taking part are scattered across four different floors meaning you’ll get a different experience every time you try it.
